Spooky Dooky

Over on the Get Funky blog today we are showcasing the Forgotten Funky that is the Spooky Dooky download.

Over on the blog you can see the wonderful items created by the Funkettes.

I've used three of the papers to start "jubbly" boxes (as termed by 5 year old!) filled with treats for his school friends:

Made from a square of paper they are really simple, even for little fingers and you can decorate them as you wish, they're just fun to do.

The papers in the download are so colourful that you don't actually have to embellish them if you don't want to, but we had some fiendish foam stickers that finished them off perfectly.

Please make sure you pop on over to the blog and take a look at the fabulous creations and I'd we have inspired you toake some Hallween makes then please remember to share them over on our Facebook page.

See you all soon, Sammylou xXx

Forgotten Funky Friday - Steam Funk

Hello All

I'm here with a forgotten Funky Hand make for you today.

The fab Steam Funk download is brilliant for all your male card makes and is an absolute steal at £2.99 for 17 papers and 4 digis. I love these papers and they are a definite "go-to" set for me when making male cards.

Today's make is a little sad as it was made for a very well-liked colleague who was leaving the team to take up a different position within the company i work for. He loved the card, we ate a lot of cake and while I deal with the indigestion, you can have a look at the card

If you would like to see what the other Funkettes have made, please pop on over to the Get Funky and Craft blog. There are some fantastic makes over there.

See you all soon, love Sammylou xXx

Forgotten Funkies - Colour Me Happy CD

Hello, well you can certainly tell that Wimbledon and Glastonbury are here because the wonderful sunshine (which inspired the card below) has been replaced by showers!

But with the sunshine in mind came this card, made using the Papercraft Factory Colour Me Happy CD rom by Funky Hand.

Each month we like to share with you some of the wonderful papers available in the archives as it were at Funky Hand HQ and, I have to admit, I was more than a little excited when this was chosen.

It is one of my favourite CD roms, mainly because it is so diverse. (And, if you don't believe me, check out the Get Funky and Craft blog to see what the rest of the Funkettes have made!

I made this card for a lady at work and she is such a vibrant person, i knew that I would have to choose the Barbadian Ecstasy variation for her.

As so often happens with me, I focused on the papers and the only embellishments added were the card candi and the sentiment which I printed out on Word..

Please pop on over and have a look at what we created and hopefully you will see that £6.99 is a tiny amount of money to spend considering the variety available on this CD.

See you all soon

Retro Fun

So the Forgotten Funky for this month over at Funky Hand is the cute, bright Retro Fun Wordbook download and I have made two cards using a circle punch for this. The first you can see by popping over to the blog at Get Funky and Craft. The second is here:

It's a Retro Muffin.

I know I have said it before but I do love a card when the papers do the talking and this is a fantastic example of that!

Using a circle punch I made circles to create the muffin top, then roughly cut a cake case from contrasting paper. Add on a bit of ribbon, some card candy and a sentiment and this is the result. A quick, easy and effective card!

Enjoy! And I'll see you all soon, love Sammylou xxx

Forgotten Funkies - Minty Madness

Hello All, Sammylou here and today over at the Get Funky and Craft blog we are sharing an oldie but a goldie (sorry I couldn't resist!).

The Minty Madness is a fab paper, sentiment and alpha collection costing just £3.49. I love these papers and they are a vibrant set of green hues with white and black accents. For the showcase I have made a Good Luck card for a colleague leaving work and here it is:

I used some nesties and a flower punch, layered it up and cut a Good Luck sentiment from the Sentiments page included in the download.

The card is slightly busier than my usual style but I really like it! Why not head on over to the blog to see the other gorgeous creations made by the Funkettes and you'll see exactly how brilliant and versatile the download is.

Speak to you all soon, love Sammylou xxx
